Hi I am Andy and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently accepting new adult, adolescent, and child clients. I have over 6 years of professional experience working with individuals struggling with substance use, various mental health challenges, and family conflict. Specifically, I am highly specialized in the fields of addiction, divorce, family conflict, and treatment of anxiety and/or depression. As your therapist, my goal is to provide equal parts compassion and empathy while encouraging growth and change. Lastly, I am able draw from and offer my own life experiences with growth and change when helpful.

I am best with clients ready to look into the painful parts of themselves and their pasts. This allows them to understand and embrace those parts with the help of a "fellow traveler". I seek a place of equality and compassion and I walk with my clients through the darkness.

I work with adults and older adults (65+) who struggle with a wide range of mental illness issues. Together, we will identify areas of growth and change that you would like to make. I help you identify beliefs about yourself which can cause anxiety and depression. We will work together to resolve your limiting beliefs and replace them with realistic/truthful statements about yourself.

I am also certified in TF-CBT.

I am in the performing arts and my counseling sessions are held in my studio with all my music equipment and my dog. I am 100% freelance so I don't accommodate no-shows or frequent rescheduling. I do not accept insurance but I offer a sliding fee scale.

Mildy has worked as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor for over 25 years. She arrived in Idaho in 1990 after living across the U.S. She received her Master's degree from ISU at a later age after teaching high school Language-Arts in Florida and marketing float plane and helicopter rides in Alaska. Her experience includes ten years of worldwide counseling with all branches of military, inpatient residential leadership and outpatient private adults, couples, and groups. Her experience includes mood disorders, relationships and career counseling. She is a world traveler, former multi-marathon runner and compassionate listener.

In my 11 years of experience as a counselor, I understand how challenging it can be to ask for help. My goal is to create a safe and warm environment for clients who are going through challenges. My office is a very private space that provides privacy and confidentiality. I enjoy working with different kinds of people and have facilitated support groups for women and LBGTQ communities. I have experience working with adults and children with various diagnoses including depression, anxiety, anger issues, Bipolar Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, ADHD, and adjustment/life transition concerns. I was trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD in 2015 and have had training in CBT. I am EMDR trained as of August 2023 as well. I love working with active-duty military members, veterans, and their families.

I provide Christian counseling to children, teens, adults, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of struggles, including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional & behavioral struggles, marital and pre-marital counseling, and family counseling. I utilize an eclectic approach to best meet my client's unique needs with a solution-focus and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy approach.

I have worked extensively for the past ten years with individuals who have various mental health diagnosis. I enjoy working with families/couples in finding a resolve to the struggles we face daily as well as with children who are living with unresolved past traumas. I love working with children utilizing play therapy techniques and watch them begin their healing process. I offer EMDR for treating past traumas, anxiety and depression both with children and adults.
