Miriam Rivkin is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio who has been practicing since 2021. She has a Master's Degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Edinboro University as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Judaic Studies from Maimonides College. Miriam's philosophy is that everyone can gain from having a place where they feel safe to explore their feelings and aspirations yet motivated to find and become the best possible form of themselves.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in working with individual therapy for children and adults as well as with parenting issues. I believe that an important part of the therapeutic process is the fit between the client, therapist, and method. The method has to work for you or your family. The key is to find the therapist you feel comfortable with who has the knowledge and experience to facilitate use of the evidence-based approach. Lindsey Slivka is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who has been practicing since 2012. She graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and the University of Akron with a Masters degree in Social Work. Lindsey believes in a client centered approach to care. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and other therapies to meet each patient's individual needs/goals. Lindsey has special interests in treating Postpartum issues and Trauma.

Parent/Giuardian involvement, both father and mother, is mandatory when working with children. I have extensive training and experience in trauma treatment, family therapy, ADHD assessment and treatment and anxiety. We enjoy working with clients who are open to understanding how adverse life experiences negatively impact thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and are ready to do the work of exploring these connections in therapy. I work well with a variety of personality types and presenting concerns, ranging from core attachment injuries to trauma to infidelity to anxiety & depression among others. I use a variety of techniques based on client fit.

Doug Hornbeck has more than 35 years experience in mental health care working with children, adolescents, adults, families and groups. He previously served as a supervisor for the psychiatric intake department through the Cleveland Clinic Health System and managed an Intensive Outpatient Program. In private practice for more than 10 years, he has specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), hypnosis and critical incident stress debriefing. He also has more than 20 years experience working with the HIV/AIDS population.

Providing a compassionate and trusting therapeutic relationship is a priority in treatment. I strive to guide people to develop their inner strengths and wisdom, and to release negative thought and behavioral patterns through a variety of therapeutic techniques. I am highly trauma-focused, as well as spiritually-oriented. A relaxed and non-judgmental environment is provided to all persons, regardless of culture, religion, age, economic status, sexuality, or gender. I treat all ages and all mental health concerns and collaborate with needed professionals to ensure the most effective treatment. Kara Freeman is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English with a multi-cultural certificate from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She then attended The Ohio State University where she received her Master of Arts in Counselor Education with a focus in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Previously, Kara worked at Directions for Youth and Families as a community-based counselor working with children aged 5-17 and their families.

Juliane has a master’s degree from University of Kentucky and is a supervising licensed independent social worker with 25 years of experience. She has experience working with individuals, families and couples ranging from age 5 to 99 in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, homes, residential treatment facilities, outpatient community mental health and adolescent detention centers. Most recently Juliane has worked with people coping with major illness (particularly cancer).
