In my 15 years of practice, I have found, that at my core I am a client centered therapist. This means that I believe that the process of therapy is driven by the client and what their needs are in the present moment. That said, I have also discovered that using cognitive behavioral techniques to help sort through unhelpful thoughts that might be driving anxiety or depression is an important part of the process, as is teaching mindfulness techniques to help calm the body and the brain.
