I am a licensed psychologist at Arizona Neuropsychology Centers who specializes in neuropsychological, developmental, and psychoeducational evaluations. I’ve developed an extensive knowledge-base for evaluating neurodevelopmental disorders under the previous training of two well known neuropsychologists in the valley, Dr. John Mather and Dr. Paul Beljan. Our practice participates in developing accommodations and modifications needed to aid clients in maximizing their academic, occupational, and social functioning.

I know what it's like to suffer relational trauma and feel hopeless. I spent my childhood studying to be a doctor and once landing my spot in medical school, my efforts shifted. My long-term romantic relationship suffered. This ended in a traumatic car accident, which almost broke me. I trudged through the aftermath of medical recovery, betrayal and infidelity until God fully entered my life. A therapist then helped guide me into forgiving myself and living my life fully. Alexis is a graduate with honors from East Tennessee University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Sciences and a minor in Communicative Disorders. Alexis furthered her education at Emory and Henry College of Health Science in Marion, VA where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA and her Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies. She is a recipient of Phi Alpha National Honor Society and Alpha Eta Honor Society. Through my 15 years of being a foster/adopt parent, I have experienced how trauma, attachment, anxiety, learning disorders, Autism, ADHD, and mood disorders, affect daily functioning and the ability to enjoy life. I have come to appreciate how important it is to feel a sense of safety and belonging. We are biologically wired to need connections/relationships for optimal growth and development. For more than 17 years, I have dedicated myself to supporting teenagers, adults, and families in the field of social service and behavioral health. Throughout my career, I have also had the privilege of working as a special education teacher and vocational counselor, where I focused on assisting individuals with a wide range of physical and mental health disabilities and diagnoses. It has been a rewarding experience to contribute to the well-being and empowerment of those I have had the opportunity to serve.
