Many people turn to psychotherapy for help with anxiety, depression, painful relationship patterns, or sometimes just the feeling that something is missing from life. If you struggle with anxious or depressive feelings, or with frustrating relationship patterns, then I would recommend that you consider a free phone consultation. It might help to know that, with motivation, many people can make progress immediately towards overcoming internal roadblocks and becoming more effective in their work and relationships.

Each therapy relationship is different and may change over time.
I am but a fellow traveler on this journey. Facing your deepest fears and wishes can be frightening, and as such coming into therapy may be a difficult decision to make. Whether you are experiencing grief and loss, past traumas and painful memories, difficulties in your work or career, or something more difficult to describe; I am ready to join with you on your journey.

If I asked you to list 5-10 ways to decrease anxiety, improve your relationships, or reach your goals, I bet you could think of at least a few examples fairly quickly. Maybe, you've already tried those strategies yourself. Thankfully, Mental Health strategies and theories are not in short supply. However, just because you might know what you're "supposed to do" to feel better, change your thought patterns, or improve your family dynamics doesn't mean it's easy to actually do it. Humans are endlessly adaptive, yet persistently stubborn. We just need to figure out what works for you.

In broad terms, anyone interested in Jungian psychology, the the theory and practice developed by Carl Jung, may resonate with my approach. We’ll talk through whatever you want, but I’ll also encourage you to delve beneath the surface. Specifically those who identify as Queer, those interested in the healing power of psychedelic medicines, those who identify as Christian and those interested in couple work may find value in my approach.

I provide therapy from the perspective that an understanding, trusting, and genuine relationship between myself and my clients is the necessary foundation for helping them to create change in their lives. I think everyone, myself included, can relate to hiding parts of ourselves out of fear of being judged– whether it’s our feelings, desires, or the qualities that make us unique. Those fears and self-judgments can then add another difficult dimension to our experience.

You are here because you are tired of feeling stuck, in pain, overwhelmed, or dissatisfied with how your life is going. You know that something in the way you feel, think, or behave is holding you back from living a fulfilling life. It may be the struggle to accept yourself or others; to maintain meaningful relationships; to adjust to life transitions; to recover from a traumatic event or loss; or to move on in life. Therapy is about wanting to slow down and reflect on yourself, how you want your life to look like, and how to get there. You made the brave step of asking for help and I would love to hear from you.

Life is ever changing, and with change can bring a plethora of other emotions including stress, depression and anxiety. It takes strength to seek help when we are feeling most vulnerable. I aim to create a safe, warm, and supportive connection with another person and use that connection to cultivate change. I’d like to help you become empowered to accomplish your own goals and to take control of your life. All transitions are difficult, whether it is anticipated or unexpected change. As adults, we have many responsibilities to uphold. This can include career, relationships, and family, emotional and physical health.

You deserve to be happy. If you are like most of my clients, you may have experienced some painful event in the past that keeps you stuck. Others seek help with anxiety and depression that is blocking them from living the joyful life they aspire to. Many of my clients say past traumas prevent them from having the type of deep fulfilling relationships they are worthy of. These clients often describe therapy with me as being relaxed and friendly - like talking with a confidant - achieving gains through our sessions that they have not obtained previously.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
