I believe that counseling is an opportunity to connect with people in a safe and non-judgmental space. Many people struggle with anxiety, depression, mood swings, relationship issues, grief and loss and want to improve mental health towards psych stability. It is an honor for me to be with you on this journey through life. Along that journey I am excited to teach you coping skills as I learn about the battles you face. We are in this together.

I utilize an internal family systems approach to help clients who have experienced trauma or struggle with anxiety, depression, or relationships.
Are you looking for a way to end specific cycles or patterns you find yourself in time and time again? Maybe you are looking to address cycles and patterns that existed even before you. I am here to help you identify and address these cycles and patterns. I want to provide a sanctuary for your healing and processing. I love to work with all types of people and specifically enjoy working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. A lyric that always stands out to me is, "You're all caught up inside, But you know the way". I believe in you. Let's find what way works for you.

My areas of expertise include trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression and self harming behaviors.
Many of the answers we need for healing come from within ourselves. I will work collaboratively with you to identify and remove obstacles that currently hinder you from accessing your inner wisdom and ability to heal.Because no two people are exactly alike there is no one therapy method that can address the needs of every person. To honor your individuality I utilize an integrative approach with emphasis from client-centered, strength based, mindfulness based and somatic methods. I am a level 2 graduate of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I am currently pursuing my certification in Sensorimotor Psychotherpy.

Let’s talk about sex! Yes, the 3-letter word that has been a source of pleasure, pain, control, guilt, shame & more. Talking about sex need not be difficult. Our bodies, sexuality, and choices should be celebrated, not designed to make us feel ashamed. Whether you have a partner(s) or are flying solo, understand therapy is not just about sex. It is about learning how to regulate emotions and reframe thinking, to start. Imagine being able to shed the cloak of low self-esteem and walk in confidence. Imagine learning how to cope with the challenges life throws at us. Imagine meeting someone who can assist you with your concerns.

Hello! I am glad you found your way here today. Therapy is a space that is for you and you alone, and it is a privilege to co-create that space with you. Trauma leaves a mark on our bodies & minds, and healing from trauma is a gentle & important process, which we will navigate together. Being embedded in systems of oppression while trying to manage anxiety, depression, identity, behavioral, and relationship issues can be scary to handle, but I believe that everyone knows their needs best. I would be honored to accompany you as you create the healthy life you deserve, meeting those needs.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
