The heart of my practice focuses on LGBTQ+ adolescents and adults, human-beings experiencing depression and/or anxiety, spiritual/existential emergencies, grief and/or life transitions, and men working to develop their emotional intelligence and heal intergenerational wounds. My ideal client is inquisitive about their social locations in the world and is open to exploring somatically, creatively, and existentially. Counseling with me is holistic, trauma-informed, compassionate, and collaborative.

I began my clinical work at Austin Recovery, working with individuals facing addiction and the many issues underlying addictive behaviors. My ideal clients are adults who have had challenging life experiences and who are hoping to gain insight into how their pasts are impacting them in the present. I help clients to address harmful behaviors, heal from trauma, and create a beautiful life.

I try to balance teaching you concrete coping strategies with also providing a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment where you can talk about painful experiences. In addition to this training, I am a combat veteran spouse, mother, stepmother, and disaster responder, allowing me to merge evidence-based practice with a “field-based” and realistic approach to mental health.
