I'm an Italian – Ghanaian Immigrant and I understand what its like to face uncertainty. At young age I immigrated to the U.S and had to deal with all of life’s curveballs: parental divorce, adjusting to new culture, anxiety, depression, etc. However, I learned what it means to be resilient. Resilience takes vulnerability and courage. It takes believing you will make it out on the other side. I understand what it is like to face life’s pressures and questions: what if I fail, and what if I am not good enough? LaPrincess is a Licensed Professional Counselor and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan College (2008) and her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Fort Valley State University (in 2014). She is an experienced therapist, with training in play therapy, family skills, TF-CBT, foster care and adoption issues and perinatal mood disorders. She has worked in a variety of settings including public schools; group homes; foster care agencies; long term facilities and private practice.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, I studied at Cameron University and received a master's in behavioral science in psychology, and a BA in communications from Georgia Southern University. I have been counseling clients since 2011. Prior to becoming a therapist I was an active duty soldier in the United States Army. The army provided exposure to many cultures and adversity. I departed from the army and became involved in military programs while supporting my active duty husband in his service. I was an advocate for the unit's family readiness group which led me to pursue a career in psychology.

Laura Beth’s counseling style has evolved into a holistic approach (incorporating mind, body and spirit), since starting out almost 20 years ago working with children, adolescents and families. Laura Beth has a diverse background including teaching, social work and community mental health. She has spent the last 10 years as a clinical therapist. She enjoys incorporating art, mindfulness and child-centered techniques. She graduated from Auburn University with a major in psychology and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. She obtained her Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health from Troy University.
