Welcome to Beckloff Behavioral Health Center! We're a counseling and educational center focused on helping kids, teens, families, young adults and adults. And a whole lot more! We teach social skills to children and teens, helping with self-esteem and confidence building. And, of course, always, in the context of the family....working to help the child and teen to be a functioning member of the family. We want the entire family to benefit, and give special care to help parents find ways to help their kid. We work with many issues, including teen issues, adult concerns, issues with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and spectrum disorders.

My focus is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your foundations, current experiences, and potential. I am currently practicing with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families. I have worked extensively with people of all ages who have experienced trauma/significant stress, and those who live with anxiety, anger, substance abuse, and depression. I also enjoy supporting people who are experiencing life transitions (grief/loss, becoming parents, divorce, job changes, etc.), and those who struggle with perfectionism, shame, and guilt.

I have been in private practice for 30 years, assisting clients with a variety of issues: depression and bipolar, substance abuse, couples and their struggles, including parenting and helping children and adolescents. I take very seriously the issues that bring clients to counseling. However, I want to strike a balance between helping clients to not only resolve their problems, but I encourage clients to bring their sense of humor, as I want the experience to be pleasurable.

I help children and families in many different ways. Some are struggling with a range of psychological and emotional challenges, others are proactively seeking support and guidance. My therapeutic style is open and accepting, and varies slightly depending upon the age of the client. With younger children, my goal is to ensure they feel successful and understood. For parents, I hope to educate and encourage their interactions with their child or children.

I have been in the helping profession for the past five years and my clientele have ranged from the age of five to the age of 71. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, chronic mental illness, PTSD, and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma, sexual abuse, survivors of human trafficking, and emotional abuse.

My client population includes children, adolescents and adults. I work with individuals as well as families. I facilitate numerous groups and skills training curriculum in various topics including adolescent first offenders, anger management, divorce and separation, parenting, and teen issues.

As a Pakistani-American Muslim woman, my overlapping identities enable me to empathize extremely well with my clients, particularly women of color. I approach therapy with a culturally aware and strengths-based lens that incorporates mindfulness and person-centered therapy. I work with couples, families, and individuals applying the principles of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) which is a research-based treatment for clients seeking emotional connection and fulfillment in relationships. EFT helps clients understand the interactional patterns that cause emotional disconnection. I would love to offer you these tools, deeper understanding, and helpful insight as you seek to repair your most important relationships.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, depression, anger management, emotion regulation, and communication.

I Eu’Lina Smith M.Ed. M.S. LPC, LCDC, am a proud graduate of Texas Tech University where I graduated with dual Bachelors' degrees in Dance and Community, Family, and Addiction Services. I also attended Texas Tech Graduate School where I earned a Masters in both Counselor Education and Interdisciplinary Studies with concentration in Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Addictions. I graduated with honors and was a member of Chi Sigma Iota Honors Society while in graduate school at Texas Tech. My approach to counseling combines Solution Focused, Reality, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Gestalt theories.
