Welcome! I am a Georgia and New Jersey LCSW, specializing in narcissistic abuse recovery, trauma, anxiety, and depression in adults ages 18 and above. I have over 12 years of experience working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and relationship difficulties and providing parent coaching. I provide treatment to address problematic behaviors (emotion dysregulation, insomnia, and substance use), troubling emotions (fear, depression, and anxiety), maladaptive thought patterns (self-criticism and rumination), and relationship issues (work, family, and dating).

Ambivalence in therapy is not uncommon. It is a natural response, especially for people who are unaccustomed to being on the receiving end of care and support. Acknowledging the need for help can feel like a daunting task as if it is a betrayal of the very roles, you have been fulfilling. There is a discomfort that in seeking help, you might unravel, showing a vulnerability that contradicts your perceived identity. This discomfort, however, overlooks a crucial truth: vulnerability is not a sign of weakness, but rather a courageous step towards healing and growth. Therapy, in its essence, is a journey of self-discovery and healing.

My ideal client is an individual adult, or someone in a relationship having problems they want to resolve. I don't choose my clients, they choose me. With over 40 years of experience as a licensed independent psychologist, I continue to love what I do just as much or more than when I began my career. I am not just a "how does that make you feel" kind of therapist. I will challenge, confront and engage when necessary when I feel doing so will get you to where you said you wanted to go when you came for help.

I am passionate about working with clients of all sexualities, sexual practices, and backgrounds surrounding intimacy, childhood trauma, sex/ sexuality concerns, and relational discord. I believe these concerns are a result of underlying factors caused by intergenerational family systems, societal shame, challenges with coping with mental health during stressful events, lack of true understanding/ connection with self, and lack of access to helpful resources for guidance.

I have 32 years of counseling experience. I blend Spiritual (when requested) and Clinical Counseling. Many spiritual people across America are confused about where to go for counseling. My husband of 30 years and I have traveled the world with many religions. I have 2 Bachelors, 2 Master of Divinity Degrees, a Post-Masters in Hospital & Hospice Chaplaincy, and a PsyD. in Psychology. I was a Chaplain intern, resident or taught religious programs at many Atlanta hospitals. I am a HIV/AIDS, cancer and bereavement specialist.
