I believe everyone deserves a warm, safe space to process life's experiences, so that is what I strive to provide! I specialize in supporting young adults, adults, and college students to compassionately navigate their inner world- working through things like anxiety, depression, trauma, life stressors/transitions, self worth, identity, and relationships. I work collaboratively to support my clients in connecting to their emotions, understanding how experiences have shaped patterns of thinking and behaving, healing wounds of the past, finding effective coping strategies, and promoting self-acceptance to create meaningful change.

As first generation to Indian parents, I saw my parents struggle with cultural differences. They were raised with similar upbringings; however, their beliefs about relationships were starkly different. I never witnessed them talking about their struggles, but rather, they seemed to view their relationship as what was to be expected. Witnessing this relationship dynamic taught me the importance of bringing differences to the forefront. We get so many messages about who we are supposed to be from family, friends, and society. Relationships bring two people with multi-faceted identities together, therefore, it's only natural for relationship issues to arise.

EFT helps couples understand what is happening in the relationship and the common patterns they get stuck in.
My desire is to help people heal themselves and their most important relationships. My primary therapy methodology is attachment theory. I believe that feeling securely connected to those most important to you is the foundation of growth and productivity. If you have found yourself stuck in an unhealthy repetitive cycle whether at work, home, or in your social circles, I'd love to help. It is difficult to deal with these without the knowledge of how to get out. I can help you identify the battles you are facing and ways to overcome them.

In my experience, it's our therapeutic relationship that takes people closer to themselves and to meeting their goals.
When therapy really works, the experience is soul-feeding and transformative. I work with people who want to deeply understand themselves, and any suffering they may be experiencing, as part of the path to feeling more grounded, content, and whole. This path is often mysterious and difficult, with twists and turns that can be hard to predict. But the process is also full of meaning and growth. I'm especially looking to work with people who are interested in investing deeply in this process and open to meeting multiple times per week.

I specialize in working with anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, perfectionism, relationship issues, eating disorders, personality disorders, and severe and persistent mental illness.
I believe all psychological symptoms serve a function, such as regulating emotions, avoiding distress, or maintaining interpersonal connections. In therapy, we will identify the functions of your symptoms and find healthier ways for you to meet your needs. This often involves exploring the interpersonal contexts in which your symptoms developed and are maintained. In this way, we will identify what's getting you stuck and make way for you to have new emotional and interpersonal experiences. My therapeutic style is collaborative, warm, curious, and empathic.

I am in the process of obtaining AASECT certification in sex therapy, and provide a safe container to discuss difficult and even taboo topics that might be lying under the surface of a relationship.
Let’s face it, this life can be bizarre and difficult! We were just dropped into it without a reliable map, and it can be incredibly confusing and overwhelming to navigate! My goal as a therapist is to provide a space of warmth and openness in order to work collaboratively to help you create the life you want for yourself.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
