My clients ages range from 13 - 65+ and come from all walks of life with varying difficulties that arise from the human condition. It is my goal to work along side you to help you navigate life's struggles and develop the skills you need.

I am a Licensed Professional Art Therapist in Kentucky, a nationally Board-Certified Art Therapist, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin. I am also an artist, herbalist, and aromatherapist. Theoretically I use an eclectic approach, evaluating the needs of my clients and using the most appropriate techniques and interventions. I draw most heavily from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Jungian Analytical Psychology, Person-Centered Theory, and Existential Theory.

I love what I do! I have been a therapist for the past 30 years. I have a holistic approach to therapy. I believe that our body and mind are so closely connected that they catch each others diseases. I use my background as a Behavior Analyst, Personal Trainer, Senior Fitness Specialist and Health Coach to inspire my clients to grow. I focus on CBT and Jungian-Inspired psychotherapy. I serve as a guide to help people bring the unconscious into consciousness utilizing active imagination, dream interpretation, and fairy tale exploration. I specialize with adults in the second and third act of their lives and mid-century men.

I have been in private practice for 20 years & clinical practice for 33 years. My clients are individuals, couples and older teens seeking personal growth from issues stemming from trauma, sex addiction and substance abuse. Those I treat are often also dealing with depression and anxiety, and I have extensive experience with law enforcement and PTSD and those healing from childhood trauma as well. I am level I certified in EMDR and incorporate multiple modalities into my work. I have considerable experience with those dealing with personality disorders within their family dynamics and relationships. Couples are a specialty.

While I am trained in counseling theories and techniques, I believe using the Bible as a guide to explore the emotions that often paralyze our daily lives and relationships is fundamental to reaching healing and growth. I have earned a Doctor of Education, Master of Education, Post-Master in Marriage & Family Therapy, and a Kentucky License in Pastoral Counseling.

My treatment long specialized in work with young males, adult men and families in crisis, but has now broadened to working with all genders and stages of development. My name is Aaron Meriwether, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Renew Counseling Services was established in 2014, and quickly grew to become a group practice with more than 30 therapists. I am accepting clients for private pay and superbilling. I help adults who struggle with emotional reactivity, anxiety, and distractibility. I specialise in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and treat individuals with addiction, trauma disorders, depression, and anxiety. My current primary focus is Autism. I use shame resilience methods and mindful self compassion. I love to incorporate art, dance, yoga, and music into my work. I also strive to make mindfulness skills more accessible for people who struggle with sitting still.
