I work with many different populations such as Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Mood disorders, Psychosis, Autism, ADHD, peer conflict, relationship Conflict, life transitions, family issues, grief, and trauma. I specifically specialize in gender care, writing gender-affirming letters, LGBTQ+ mental health management, and psychotic disorders. My passion is working with the LGBTQ+ community on issues of gender, sexuality, and relationship styles.

My primary goal is to create a supportive and safe environment so we can explore the signs that point toward healing, inner wisdom and self-honoring. My approach is trauma-sensitive and collaborative, grounded in Person-Centered counseling. Drawing from an attachment-based lens, I integrate elements of mindfulness, interpersonal processing, and cognitive/narrative therapies.

I also work with men looking to change relationship and emotional patterns, and have extensive experience with professionals and professional students.

My ideal client is someone coping with mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and/or substance abuse. I specialize in Behavioral Activation - an evidenced based intervention for treating mood disorders and moving clients toward their goals. I also enjoy working with couples and families to help them communicate better and resolve interpersonal conflicts in a healthy way. I have been passionate about systemic couple and family therapy since becoming a therapist in 2019. I'm a certified Prepare-Enrich marital/premarital counselor and trained in the Gottman Method of couples therapy, with good outcomes.

I possess a lot of experience and a deep understanding of the challenges confronting the developmentally disabled within our community. Additionally, I bring expertise in working with individuals dealing with medical complexities and physical disabilities.

I am all about meeting people where they are. I believe in creating an environment that feels safe and trusting. I work hard at listening and not trying to talk people out of their feelings. It is not my job to fix problems, but to help guide people to make changes, in order to meet the goals that are important in their lives.

The stress of being a woman in today’s society is significantly overlooked. We’re expected to excel in school, have full-time careers, raise a family, keep the house clean and the pantry stocked, make homecooked meals, keep up with society’s ever-changing standard of “beauty,” exercise and eat healthy, maintain a close group of friends, and have strong relationships with our partners. We do all this while battling intrusive thoughts of perfectionism, low-self worth, poor body image, and never-ending guilt. Even when we feel like we’re drowning and there’s nothing left of us to give, we continue to put other's first.
