People who seek help through the stresses and traumas of life instead of succumbing to them are the bravest people I know. Although therapy may not feel courageous, at some point, we all need the presence and compassionate care of someone committed to our healing process. This is my passion. I work with courageous people who choose to move toward wholeness while continuing to live and care for the responsibilities of their lives. A large part of my work is devoted to helping men and women work through traumatic experiences in the present and those remembered from the past.

I strongly believe you should feel comfortable with the therapist you choose and should have a positive therapeutic relationship. I believe that each and every individual is capable of self-direction and growth. In counseling, I strive for a therapeutic relationship with each client that is facilitative to those ends. During sessions, I strive to maintain an environment containing unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness. My therapeutic style is primarily based on an eclectic style, however, I am a Christian therapist but will never push my beliefs on to you. I graduated with a M.A. in professional counseling.

I understand that life sometimes presents with challenges that seem difficult to overcome. Often these challenges contribute to mental heath problems, such as depression and anxiety. Left untreated, these problems can affect multiple areas of one's life.

I enjoy working with individuals who want to find out who they are and where they want to go. I specialize in working with people going through major life transitions, desire to have a stronger sense of identity, and asking serious questions about their view of life. Because of this, I specialize in working with those who are in the LGBTQ+ community, Gen Z and Millennials, and those impacted by major changes such as moving away from home, divorce, job changes, and more. Further, I work closely with those going through spiritual questioning, no matter their faith.

I am honored to be of service to you. I know that trauma and substance abuse and addiction can wreak havoc in one's life. Many of client's find themselves faced with challenges of having to restart their lives during mental challenges and addiction; some may have to fight to regain custody of their children; many of them have co-occurring mental illness that has lead to substance abuse and/or addiction. For some, addiction comes by way of biological, environmental, and social influences, but from my experience, I have learned that mental illness was present before addiction became a factor.
