I have over fifteen years of professional experience in the field of mental health. A graduate of Syracuse University, I have worked with a variety of individuals in private practice, as well as non-profit clinical settings. As a Client-Centered Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, my approach to therapy involves providing support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I will work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

I love this work, because people's lives are so interesting! When people run into a snag, I can help. Working with individuals, couples, & families, I look at both the immediate concerns, as well as the 'big picture' of where it fits into their lives. I work with clients from early childhood to adulthood across various life stages. We partner to address “big feelings” and behaviors, as well as symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-harm, and low self-esteem. My foundational approach is rooted in person-centered and strengths-based principles. With younger clients, I leverage techniques from play and creative arts therapies, as well as mindfulness tools. For adolescents and adults, I employ an eclectic toolkit with methods from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Design Thinking to guide the therapeutic process.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. The patients I see often come to me with issues such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self harm and childhood trauma.

It has been a joy to work as a therapist for the past 20 years. I have been witness to much resilience, strength, healing and growth. My passion is working with individuals, couples and families, helping them to feel supported and validated as they increase peace in their lives, resolve issues and manage stressors and mental health symptoms. I have worked in the settings of my private practice, residential mental health, outpatient mental health, psychiatric emergency department and as a school social worker.

I have a passion for helping those who are hurting & have been told I'm a good listener. I love working with women as I believe that as a woman I know and understand some of the struggles we face. I have 25 years of experience counseling adolescents and adults who are experiencing issues of difficult life adjustments (grief, loss), depression and anxiety. I also consider myself an expert in navigating the complex world of dating for young men.

If you struggle with anxiety, depression grief, and other difficulties, I can help you. Some people want help with identifying and working on goals, some people want to learn coping skills, some people just need to vent to someone, and some people need someone else to just compassionately listen. I love to help with all of those. I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach to meet people where they are at and help them get to where they want to be. I strive to be open-minded and attentive, and helping people is what I am meant to do.

Life gets hard, and sometimes you just need a little guidance to navigate through life's absurdity. I'm here to help you peel off those layers of societal expectations and find your true, unapologetic self. Think of me as your cheerleader, coach, and sarcastic best friend all rolled into one. Everyone has experienced their own life journey involving grief/loss, relational ruptures, parenting struggles or trauma. Sometimes this journey can leave adults in a place where it is hard to find the motivation to complete everyday tasks, manage life stress or have patience with our loved ones. This can be true for children too, which may cause them to struggle in school, have emotional outbursts or display signs of anxiety. No matter what is bringing you, your child, or family to this moment in time, I am honored to be a part of your journey.
