Hola.. I'm a U.S Marine Corps Veteran, Bilingual in Spanish, I received my Master degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling . I work as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have worked providing counseling for young adults, couples, veterans, and adults experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, anger, self esteem, trauma, and marital issues. I will help you navigate through these issues and develop goals that can lead you to gain the skills needed to face what you think you can't handle. Remember,You are NOT alone. I utilize a variety of approaches such as CBT, EMDR to process trauma, and DBT.

Over the last seven years I have provided care and treatment to individuals looking for similar support as yourself. I have worked with minor children, adolescents, young adults, individuals, couples, married couples, families, groups, veterans, and the senior community all for the same reasons; to provide care and treatment during challenging times.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate I have dedicated my career to helping people navigate the curve-balls life has thrown at them. The current COVID pandemic has created a whole new normal for people to navigate. I am here to be the safe place, for children and adults, to create new healthy coping techniques, increase self-esteem and create effective social skills.

Embracing life transitions and self-discovering can be challenging and you do not have to do it alone. Tailoring specialized care and support addressing your unique challenges, learning to be patient and kind to yourself throughout this nonlinear healing process. My specialized training as a Registered Behavior Technician allows me to integrate ABA techniques, enhancing their therapy with evidence-based strategies tailored to their needs.

What was once bad memories, that you were able to suppress, have now become intrusive in your daily life. Each day feels like you're more stressed out than the day before. You find yourself easily irritable, & it's difficult to be around your loved ones. The nightmares and sleepless nights are happening more often & no one seems to understand your past. When you do get to sleep, waking up to the ringing in the ears is so unpleasant. The panic attacks feel like you are taking your last breaths. Therapy seems daunting, because the very last thing you want to do is re-live any of it, but you would give anything to feel internal peace.

I primarily treat clients who are experiencing high levels of stress, people experiencing trauma, and anyone dealing with anxiety or depression. I try to help clients achieve a sense of work/life balance and a sense of fulfillment in their lives and relationships. I am also offering VA nexus letters for Veterans who are in the process of or considering a VA claim for one or more mental health concerns.

Accepting clients May 2024. I help couples work their way through crisis events by helping them find their feet amist the chaos. My role is to help couples have difficult conversations. With my background is in probation/parole therapy, I bring strong elements of fairness, repair, and rehabilitation to couples who have faced injuries. Some topics I have strong experience in are: infidelity, bisexuality, addiction, codependency, anger management, emotional availability, parenting approach, and lack of sexual intimacy.

My experience in working with Veteran, military, and general adult population clients in English and Spanish, allows me to be empathetic to your unique needs. I tailor your treatment goals through a collaborative approach that allows us to work as a team to empower you to getting back to better. I work with couples presenting with problems in communication and a lack of mutual understanding. Military and Veteran couples also struggle with adjustment to deployments and transitions. With individuals, I specialize in helping you manage trauma, PTSD, anger, depression, insomnia, anxiety, and to help you rediscover who you are.

I help gay men - from the newly gay to the seasoned queen - navigate and understand topics related to dating monogamously, polyamory, sexual anxiety, fetishes, understanding Grindr, Sniffies, and bathhouses, drugs/alcohol/food/sex as coping, body insecurities, masculinity, developing self esteem, hobbies, and the most importantly - the friends we made along the way.

Without judgment, I help clients overcome addictions to alcohol, weed, sex, food, and hard drugs by helping them face the very difficult triggers behind the addictions itself (such as unaddressed depression, trauma, and self esteem, etc; I particularly work with sexual addictions). This approach can be very emotionally difficult, so I recommend only clients who are ready for major life changes apply.

I am not queso, I'm not for everyone. But if you’re looking for someone to work through the waves of life, then I’m your person! There are plenty of people out there to give you advice and tell you it’s going to be okay, you don’t need another cheerleader in life. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a First Responder for over 20 years and continue to work on the ambulance part-time.
