I specialize in children, preteens, and teenagers. Anxiety, depression, and trauma can all show up as anger, fear, lethargy, and lack of sleep. The sooner it is addressed the sooner your child can feel better and more themselves.

Everyone has a story. I am a person-centered licensed professional counselor who believes in collaborative work with the client. I provide individual and couples therapy. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as well as emotionally focused therapy (EFT) to help my clients reach their personal goals. I also utilize existential counseling and multicultural counseling. In addition to seeing clients in-person in Knoxville, I am also available online to all adult residents of TN.

Accepting New Clients! To have someone open their heart in therapy and trust me with it, is truly an honor. Therapy can be hard. Often times people share things with me they haven’t shared with anyone else. Because of this, I believe the relationship between client and therapist is the most important factor in therapy and what I focus on building first with you. Moreover, I take an integrative approach to therapy, conceptualizing from psychodynamic and interpersonal theories while utilizing interventions from EFT, DBT, CBT and interpersonal theories. All of my work is grounded in multicultural and strength-based views.

I seek to work with individuals in life transitions to help them connect with their own agency and combat the lies life tells us. Whether it is anxiety, depression, trauma or grief that has control over you we can work collaboratively to promote change and build healthy relationships/ lifestyles. I work with individuals ages 10 and up who are looking for a non-judgmental environment to uncover their voice/story in order to locate power and meaning.

At Within Holistic Counseling, we believe in getting to the root of the problem. Traditional talk therapy has been proven highly effective, so we combine this with meditation based therapy and somatic psychology to make it even better. To create lasting change in your life, you need to understand where your feelings are coming from. We are clinically trained in psychological techniques as well as, having specialized training in mindfulness meditation and the ability to create a holistic framework that will assist you in getting to the root of your patterns to heal and change them.
