I have worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the field of social work for over 20 years. This experience has provided me the opportunity to work with many children, families and individuals. Through this training and experience, I have learned what works well and what does not work as well. I entered the counseling force in hopes to help individuals, couples, and families across all backgrounds, ages, and sexual orientations in dealing with various difficulties like anxiety, depression, grief/loss, sexuality, addiction, or relationship issues. Life is hard, and we do not do hard alone. I enjoy working with children and adults in a personalized approach tailored to each patient's unique situation. My theoretical background is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy, play therapy, and psychodynamic therapy, but I pull from many sources in creating a treatment plan. I enjoy tackling diagnostic puzzles and working closely with patients and families to get to the bottom of what causes disruption in someone's life. Most consider me direct and no nonsense. I trained in Exposure Response Prevention for OCD treatment in both children and adults and enjoy these treatment challenges.
