She has an Undergraduate BBA in Marketing, Minor in Spanish from Iowa State University, a Master's degree in International Management from University of Denver, and a Master's degree in Counseling from Denver Seminary. Why psychoanalysis? You know how it goes. Life gets hard, things happen, and we develop creative strategies to protect ourselves from real, perceived, and/or anticipated threats of suffering. These strategies, accumulated overtime, suddenly seem to shape much of how we interact with the world. Some are useful and their cost outweighs the pain they help avoid. Others seem so random you can’t even tell how they started; although, you suspect they no longer serve you. A third kind are the strategies you don’t know you’re using, their cause, cost or benefits. After a while, you may feel less connected, less whole, and may not feel and experience as deeply.
