Her specialty interests include: girls’ and women’s issues, gender issues, career development, gerontology, and integrating creativity and positive psychology into counseling practice. She utilizes treatment approaches that are evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each client.

Cathy Dye is a licensed social worker with over 20 years experience in the field of social services. Cathy completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Youngstown State University in 2000. Cathy continued her education in 2016, earning a Master of Social Work Degree from Youngstown State University in 2019. Cathy specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, life/career issues, as well as identity and existential concerns.

My ideal client is the client that is willing to do the mental and emotional work that a therapeutic relationship requires, regardless of the issue they are bringing. These clients are desirous of change and growth and have some degree of motivation to make achieve them. They want to understand themselves better in order to develop and maintain healthy relationships with themselves and others.
