Hi All, I'm currently practicing in the state of Georgia with an office in Calhoun, Ga. I'm a person who has an easy going attitude, loves the field of counseling, and connecting with people. I have worked in the mental health field professionally since 2001. My work history includes working with individuals who have experienced trauma and/or past abuse, couples/marital issues, substance abuse/use conflict, school conflict, parent- child conflicts, & most primary mental health diagnoses. Arbor Cove Therapy, LLC, exists to provide a safe space for individuals to resolve challenges and experience healing and growth. My work focuses on children and adolescents who struggle with emotional and behavioral issues. I also have a special love for working with adoptive families and the unique needs that the child and parents face. I have experience with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, AD/HD, behavior disorders, mood disorders, and parenting challenges.

Counseling provides the opportunity to step out of the routine of everyday life to focus on the bigger picture and long-term growth. I began studying psychology in 1996 and obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University (summa cum laude) and Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Georgia State University

I work with couples, families, individuals, children, teens, and groups who are struggling with communication, family relationships, couple's relationships, infidelity, grief and loss, divorce, family violence, sexual abuse, and sexual assault. That is why I provide an ease about coming to therapy and attempt to make my clients feel comfortable beginning this process. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults helping them get through difficult transitions in their lives. I do a lot of work challenging people to explore their aggression, self-harming behaviors, drugs and alcohol use, suicidal ideations, depression and anxiety. I also enjoy working with adults dealing with life transitions and helping them improve their moods and perspectives on life.

As an experienced therapist, I have dealt with a broad range of mental health issues. I work with a network of physicians, mental health providers, and spiritual advisors to provide the best care for my clients. I aim to guide clients in asking the right questions and finding answers that lead to positive and progressive outcomes in the therapeutic process. While my primary focus is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I employ other techniques as needed to help my clients achieve the change they desire.

Going through trauma, grief, depression, anxiety and/or an eating disorder can be very lonely and isolating. Clients sometimes feel that they have no one who really understands what they are going through. I have worked with many clients who have experienced tragedies and difficult times in their lives, and maybe you can relate to some of those difficult feelings. I am an Associate Professional Counselor licensed in the state of GA & NY. I am also the owner of Tuyee Holistic Services LLC. My goal is to provide psycho education on mental illness and wellness and to reduce the mental health stigma in our society.
