Dr. Cynthia Lin, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience in treating individuals with diverse clinical backgrounds. Dr. Lin is bilingual, fluent in English and Mandarin. For undergraduate studies, Dr. Lin received her bachelor's in psychology from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, and further earned her Ph.D. in clinical health psychology from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. As a scientist practitioner, Dr. Lin offers specialized and comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, psychometric assessment and testing (reports), and clinical consultation.

With the most advanced Virtual Reality Technology and therapies such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), ABA Therapy, Behavioral Activation, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we at VRCaPS are able to meet the needs of a wide spectrum of conditions and goals. As a first-generation Asian-American born to immigrant parents, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and an advocate for the Deaf community, I believe that an individual’s cultures and communities are key factors in their self-actualization.

I always knew that I wanted to be a healer. The best description of what I do after 30 years of success is that I am a stress management expert for ages 2 and up. After training together in individual, family, and Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) my mother and I founded The Hamilton Practice in 1995. Working with survivors of childhood trauma and sexual abuse in Harlem for a combined seventeen years, we were stunned by the miracles that unfolded as we applied the power of connection and support. My mom left her body in 2021, so you will see only me when we meet, but you will be benefiting from the synergy of two generations.
