I am a licensed psychologist and the clinical director of Sollars and Associates Integrative Counseling and Psychological Services. I have been providing counseling and psychotherapy for over 30 years in the Metro Detroit area and our group practice spans across the state of Michigan. With support, encouragement and expert insight many people begin to feel better after their first session.

I am a board-certified therapist with a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. I was clinically trained as a social worker by the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Health System Depression Center, where I also conducted research on a variety of mental health issues.

My approach is collaborative and based on goals shared throughout the process. Ultimately, I aim to maintain a cooperative, safe experience, and to help my clients recognize their own wisdom and strength so they can gain confidence and ownership of their life.

Life is too short to just be going through the motions. You deserve a safe space to be able to explore and process your emotions on your own time. My goal is to help hold that space for you to feel empowered to create change and feel validated in your experiences. It's never too late to start healing.

I have worked with a variety of clients with various concerns, including stress, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic/delusional disorders, substance use disorders, personality disorders, and survivors of trauma. I enjoy working with all sorts of clients but I have a particular interest in working with young women ages 16-35, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals who are pre or post bariatric surgery.

It has been through my own suffering that I found my way to this path, and through the peace that I’ve attained that I’ve felt called to guide others as they navigate this path for themselves. My pedagogy is healing-centered and my praxis is of reciprocity and reverence for the sacred nature of the vulnerability that this work requires of both of us. My vision began several years ago when I realized that most counseling agencies tend to concentrate on only one aspect of wellbeing, "Mental Health". Many people seeking whole body wellness are forced to travel to multiple providers to gain the full experience.
