My goal is to utilize evidence-based techniques to help clients achieve their wellness goals. Dr. Walters earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from The University of Northern Colorado and a Masters degree from the University of Alabama. During her education Dr. Walters completed a variety of training experiences including working in a drug rehabilitation center, public schools, the University Mental Health Clinic where she provided counseling to families, couples, individuals, and children. Dr. Walters also worked in the Neuropyschology Clinic providing neuropsychological assessment. She completed a dissertation titled Traumatic Brain Injury Self Report: Identifying the Relationship between Personality and Risk Taking Behavior.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified Addictions Professional (CAP.) who has spent the past 13 years working with addiction and mental health in an outpatient setting. I have maintained private practices in both Broward and Collier County over the past 6 years and have recently completely relocated to Naples. I am honored to say that I have been a part of the successful changes and recoveries of many of my patients and their families. Addiction is a family issue, and I have had success working with families, spouses, children, extended families, as well as the patient, to bring about change and healing.
