Greetings! I am Barbara Fountain a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor with 15 years of counseling experience. I have a passion: for providing counseling to adults, children/adolescents, & families.Successful therapeutic outcomes depend on a good working relationship! My strength and passion in counseling lay in child and adolescent therapy working on body image issues, eating disorders, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and behavioral issues. My job is to help them get "unstuck," so that they can choose other ways to live. I offer tools that can help them communicate better, establish necessary and healthy boundaries, manage anger and fear healthily, and eliminate self-destructive and self-harming behavior. Welcome to my practice! For over ten years I have worked as a licensed counselor, with experience in addictions, family violence, at-risk adolescents, and working with the HIV/AIDS population. I have specific training in Cognitive-Behavioral, Rational Emotive Behavioral, and Solution-Focused Brief therapies. I am a Gottman Level I trained clinician and a sexual health specialist. I believe everyone has the right to have satisfactory sexual health. My own personal journey of having to navigate the journey alone, has led me to be able to provide a supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere for others to express their sexual health needs. I am here to help adults dealing with sexual health issues, which can lead to anxiety and depression.
