I invite you to answer the call, the call to a deeper life, to a freer life.
I ask that you are ready to make a commitment, to yourself, first. I consider this the first step of the journey - I am here ready to make the commitment alongside you. Think of it as the beginning of falling in love with yourself...your relationships, and ultimately your life. If you are reading this I hope you answer the call, to yourself...it is the beginning of the type of change you have dreamt of, meeting your best self, meeting your soul.

Making changes in one’s life can be daunting without support. In practice in NYC/NJ for over twenty-five years, I help clients find solutions for issues including but not limited to coping and recovery from anxiety, addictions, depression, trauma, as well as conflicts in the workplace. I use a range of approaches: it may be solution-focused, psychodynamic, and/or Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment (CBT) depending upon your goals and needs. A career transition specialist, I use the MBTI to help clients create a plan of action to find a more satisfying career direction.

Life circumstance, anxiety, trauma, and vulnerabilities may overwhelm our ability to maintain perspective and interfere with our capacity to cope, regulate our emotions, communicate effectively, maintain focus, realize our ambitions and to develop and sustain a healthy and meaningful relationship to ourselves and others.
My work is informed by extensive experience in evidence-based practices, dialectical behavioral (DBT) and cognitive behavioral (CBT) therapies and 20+ years working with individuals, families, couples, adolescents and children. In addition to training with The Ackerman Institute for the Family, I've received certifications at Behavioral Tech and the Beck Institute. I specialize in navigating internal and interpersonal conflict in the context of family, intimate partner, parent/child, educational and professional relationships.

This intensive clinical training combined with my prior career as vice president at a private bank gives me a unique understanding of workplace issues, life transitions and clinical issues.
You may have wondered whether therapy could be helpful to you. I understand the importance of your psychological health in your everyday functioning and am committed to helping during this time. I offer a free consultation to discuss any questions you may have. As a senior staff therapist at Greenwich Psychology group, I enjoy working with individuals who are committed to self-exploration and may be struggling with anxiety, depression, family concerns, and/or work issues. I work to create a safe and non-judgmental space where we can explore your challenges and find ways to reconnect with your healthier and positive self.

For Connecticut clients, I work with Life Coaching and Therapy in West.
Connecting with the right therapist can help us lighten negative feelings from week to week. Often, these feelings can leave us feeling burdened, and reaching out to loved ones can seem impossible. Trusting a therapist enough to give them a call or an email can seem so risky.

I am the life coach for therapists, healers, seekers, & dreamers. NO big Package by-ins--have 1 session at a time with no commitment--and I'll happily give referrals if I'm not the right healer for you. Good fits? Previous therapy experience, already has some understanding of personal 'stuck points' and want guidance, support, mentorship, & 'how-to' tools to live balanced, fulfilled, peaceful. Life is hard enough--easier with emotionally effective tools and strategies. I think my best work is in teaching people from difficult backgrounds how to fully, deeply, love and heal themselves, to get out of survival mode and into LIVING.

Returning to a new normal after our Covid experience has been challenging. Therefore, finding a space of stability from moment to moment is essential, and I can provide that for you. We are in a place of recovery from the impact of the original COVID and new variants seem to be ongoing. The damage done to mental health from COVID has become evident, and anxiety is at its peak. We have had to pivot in order to stabilize finances, and relationships, to feel secure. We have learned new skills in a time of crises, and grieve for those who have passed.

My approach is humanistic, focusing on your own innate ability to heal yourself utilizing tools that can be taken outside the therapeutic relationship and into your day to day life.
I specialize in treating highly sensitive people, performers with artistic wounds, trauma, and those suffering from anxiety/depression.Sessions are tailored to fit your specific needs and goals. Whether through talk therapy or creative arts therapy, I provide an environment using your strengths and unique abilities as a modality for your own healing so that your growth can continue well beyond our sessions. I have specialized training in IFS, mindfulness, PTSD, and trauma informed care. I approach health holistically, knowing that artists in particular need to integrate their art with their mental health in order to grow and heal.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
