Tanya Sloan is a Licensed Professional Counselor in The States of Georgia and South Carolina with over 10 years of experience. Tanya had the honors of working in the private and public sector assisting the privileged and underprivileged communities. These opportunities allowed her to gain experience with crisis, disorders, and situations such as mothers with cases involving Department of Social Services, Alcohol and Drug Addiction, Homelessness, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Bi-polar Disorder, Family and Marriage Counseling, OCD, PTSD and more.

I have been working as a therapist for 7 years but in the helping profession for 10 years. I enjoy working with couples, families, and individual's. I believe that many of the issues we deal with come from unhealthy relational boundaries.

Shanta Barron-Millan is a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice (LISW-CP) in the state of South Carolina who has over 20 years experience working with diverse populations and in various settings. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology at Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina. She furthered her education at the University of Pittsburgh where she received her Master of Social Work degree with a specialization in Direct Practice – Children, Youth and Families. She also completed the Home School Visitor (HSV) and the Child Welfare Certificate Program (CWCP).

As a licensed clinical social worker for over 18 years, my interactions with clients have been the most rewarding. From children to adolescents to teens to adults, I have addressed numerous life issues, including mental health, abuse, neglect, trauma, and offending behaviors. I have also worked with military families around a variety of stressors. I honor, respect and appreciate the fact that clients allow me into their lives and strive to build and maintain healthy and strong relationships.

Many of us are overwhelmed by the demands of daily life. Beyond the normal stressors, individuals and families deal with a myriad of problems. They can easily be paralyzed by the decisions that must be made and are weighed down by strained relationships and seemingly insurmountable circumstances. The good news is that there are solutions and each person has the ability to create and/or experience change within their own lives! I am privileged to assist clients as they identify changes needed to create positive life changes, make good, solid decisions, and sustain more productive, constructive behaviors and thought patterns.

Dr. Darren Alexander is a Clinical Psychopathologist and has a Ph.D. in Addiction Psychology and Forensic Counseling. He is currently Certified and Licensed on the State and National level. He uses a goal directed process in conjunction with evidence based practices to help people understand, recognize and replace their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that impede change. He is also an adjunct professor for South Carolina State University helping Master Level students achieve higher education to become successful in the counseling field.

I began my career as an inpatient clinician and hospital social worker serving all ages, a variety of mental health issues, backgrounds, genders, and economic disparities. My primary focus as a hospital social worker was on the Labor and Delivery Unit as a support for new parents, particularly mothers. I also worked in the NICU supporting parents of premature babies. I’m extremely passionate about perinatal and postpartum mental health! Maternal mental health is no longer taking a back burner!
