ABC Recovery Center, Treatment Facility in Orange
“ABC Recovery Center offers a full service detoxification program for men and women over the age of 18. The process begins with a pre-screening interview conducted by a member of our staff to determine the potential patient's status and to gather information about the appropriateness for various levels of care. Upon arrival at the center, each individual receives an assessment of condition and need. In many cases clients are referred to a local doctor who can assess and treat them concurrent with the detoxification episode. Detoxification is customized for each individual. Once admitted, new patients move into ABC's detoxification facility to become stabilized. For three to ten days each patient is monitored closely. Vital signs are measured every few hours. The ABC Center staff is on twenty-four hour duty to help new patients through this vital step in their recovery.

Katherine Barnes, Psychologist in Orange
“We are all human. We all have our own struggles. We experience depression, anxiety, relationship issues, addictions, painful or difficult transitions in life. Sometimes we need help more than others, but no one is forever "sick," no relationship ever "broken," or anyone for that matter who is beyond repair. I have 12+ years of experience treating adults, young adults and teens, particularly working professionals and students whose internal struggles, emotions or fears are affecting performance at work and/or in close relationships. LGBT and creative/performing artists are another sub-specialty population I work well with, both women's and men's issues.

Newport Academy, Treatment Facility in Orange
“At Newport Academy our goal is sustainable healing. We strongly believe that the self-destructive behaviors in which teens are participating are external manifestations, or symptoms, of underlying, internal issues. The maladaptive coping mechanisms for which we see teens enter treatment include self-harm, substance abuse, eating disorders, conduct disorders and other forms of self-destructive behaviors. We see the most positive, long-term results by focusing on healing the underlying issues that are causing teens to act out- primarily various levels of trauma, abandonment, anxiety, depression, abuse, neglect, and other family systems issues. Our environment provides the safety and security, and above all, unconditional love, that teens and their families need in order to heal. By incorporating multiple modalities of psychological and experiential therapies, and a dedication to treating the entire family, we offer the highest quality teen treatment program.

“Here we go again! School is starting and so does the anxiety and depression. Starting a new grade with all new classes, some of which are AP and the worry of preparing for the SAT tests, etc. Add to that depression, mood swings, worsening social awkwardness, fears of failure, new or same teachers having "unrealistic expectations", homework issues, and dealing with bullies who are known, cyber or unknown. Teenagers have a great deal of stress at this point in their life. All of the fears that were there when school ended, now get added emphasis, and some escalating even more.
