"I believe that we as humans desire growth in our lives; at times, we may not have access to effective channels to accomplish this. When we are in the thick of a life issue, much like the eye of a hurricane, we are not always able to see everything around us sufficiently, and we can become trapped. Life can continue to feel chaotic until we are able to pull back, pause, reflect, and readjust. I believe therapy provides us with clearer ways to navigate life challenges, and assists in removing obstacles so that we may see our paths more clearly."

"All people have the innate potential to live a meaningful and satisfying life. Problems in life are usually related to an inner conflict. The conflict can be resolved through self-knowledge. Insight about yourself lessens suffering because ignorance of yourself is diminished. When you know yourself, you will be more comfortable, people will know you as someone authentic. That makes a difference in how you experience your life and interact with people and the events of life. Interpersonal conflict and emotional suffering are diminished, thereby increasing the quality of your life."

"The psychotherapy I do is depth-oriented, offered in a safe and peaceful setting. We will uncover your family legacy, as well as the maladaptive patterns you are living that underlie your suffering. Within that context, we will practice mindfulness of the present moment and unhook you from the influences of the past. We can work to improve your relationships, clarify your life goals and help you find a sense of ease and confidence in yourself. If you are depressed and/or anxious, we will find the ways to release you from emotional pain and move toward personal fulfillment."

"As a therapist my ideal client is one who is receptive to working together as a team. The client does not have to love or like therapy but should in some small way be focused on wanting to get some relief for the issue. The ideal client also is one who can be honest during the sessions and understand that therapy can be successful if time and work is put into it."

"In order to help others, I believe that three traits are essential: competence, caring, and integrity. I continuously hone my competence by updating my skills and keeping up with developments in my field. I care deeply about my clients, admire their strengths, cheer their victories, and resonate with their disappointment.
