I specialize in working with couples & individuals navigating life-altering medical conditions; women overwhelmed in the face of work, family & personal pressure; and couples struggling to create or restore fulfilling connection.

Within all people there is a compelling force to move toward life and fulfillment. There are challenges along the way, and in the midst of COVID 19, there is extraordinary stress. Health, relationships and coping is of paramount importance. Is there hope for my marriage? What impact is marital conflict having on my children? I specialize in co parenting after divorce and those contemplating divorce. My background allows me to work with chronic illness, as well as with medical students, residents and fellows experiencing both acute and long term stress, particularly in their personal and professional lives.

I am the best fit for a family who has children between the ages from birth to 24 years old. I offer support to families who are struggling with challenging behaviors from their children and adolescents in home or at school. I offer a unique systemic approach that includes parents in the treatment process that is not found in many other practices. This systemic approach is extremely affective and helps keep parents in the loop and helps families complete the treatment goal faster than other approaches. As I believe therapy for children should be brief and solution focused so they can get back to being a kid.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in couples, family, adults, and adolescent services with experience working with and treating the full spectrum of the life span. I am an Experiential Somatic Therapist. I also utilize expressive art modalities and other creative interventions. Other therapies and modalities I utilize in my practice are CBT, DBT, Family Systems Therapy, Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, and Attachment Theory.

I am passionate about creating a supportive, empathetic environment where my clients feel empowered and encouraged to open up and be their authentic selves. When we feel safe and accepted for who we are, we can step forward and be vulnerable, which in turn allows us to foster deeper connections with ourselves and our loved ones. As a marriage and family therapist since 1986, I continue to work for increasing health and well being of my clients and help them find their strengths and resiliency. I am trained in EMDR Therapy and complex trauma. After 30+ years practicing psychotherapy and marriage counseling, I still find relationships issues to be a major reason why people come to therapy. Relationships can sometimes be too emotionally merged, or too emotionally distant and isolating (however, there are times when relationships feel both merged and isolating all at the same time). My focus is on helping people realize and alter emotional issues that pop up over and over again and consistently inhibit relationships. Sometimes we know we're stuck or lost in a relationship, but we just can't figure out...any way 'out' of what we feel.
