I have successfully treated individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship problems, work/school stress, and difficult life transitions.
Therapy can be a great tool, regardless of what you might be going through in life. I understand that each person's story is unique and, therefore, so is his or her therapeutic experience. I am a psychotherapist and coach who will work with you to develop strategies for overcoming barriers in your life. I believe it's very important to have a good connection and rapport with your therapist. Due to this, I work to create a comfortable and safe environment to allow for progress and growth.

I specialize in treatment of anxiety and depression, substance abuse and relationship difficulties.
To make the decision to enter therapy, whatever your reasons, requires courage and persistence. Maybe you are feeling stuck in your current circumstances or frustrating behavior patterns. Or maybe you struggle with anxiety or depression, or wrestle with the pain of some kind of trauma or abuse. I believe we all are meant to grow and develop; and that some life events or relationships can throw up roadblocks to that natural process of growth. I believe that the combination of insight and hard work with a compassionate and experienced therapist can be very healing and yes, life changing.

Through a collaborative relationship, we will work on identifying and unraveling the stories you've built unconsciously, to live in a way that feels more intentional.
I am Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Sex Therapist. I have found “meeting the person where they are” to be an important framework in treatment, as we are all unique in our strengths and challenges; to meet you with an open heart and open-mind is one of my main goals; to help you begin to see things you previously viewed as problems, shift into possibilities. I strongly believe that everyone has the ability to grow, utilizing both positive and negative events from our past to move into our healthier, more genuine selves.

My practice primarily treats children, adolescents, and adults through the modalities of individual, family therapy and parental guidance. I approach each client's issues, situations with care and compassion in order to create a non-judgemental space so they can develop their strengths and gain new insights into their symptoms and behaviors. I enjoy the process of building the therapeutic relationship as I believe that it is through relationships people can heal. Much of my experience is treating trauma; anxiety; mood disorders; and transitional issues such as divorce, adoption, loss, and relational issues.

Are you feeling stressed or overwhelmed by events that feel out of your control? Do you notice unhealthy patterns in the choices you make? These feelings of powerlessness and vulnerability can understandably lead to anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance, or anger. Potentially, these emotions can impact the relationships you have with your partner, children, friends or coworkers. As a psychotherapist, I have been helping clients for over 15 years understand and change dysfunctional patterns, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. I am an active participant in the process, and try to help my clients develop insight and solutions to their problems.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
