As a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, I use an integrative and holistic approach to therapy. Incorporating multiple trauma-informed modalities that work best for my clients yet focusing on and highlighting strengths-based, client-centered approaches. I work with clients identifying as neurodivergent, ADHD, Autism, as well as clients experiencing anxiety, and depression. I practice trauma-informed care, focusing on the individual, their goals, and their voice-leading treatment plans and incorporating a growth and solution-focused mindset. I believe in utilizing a collaborative approach to help clients achieve their goals.

I work with a variety of clients from all walks of life. People attend counseling for many reasons, but most of them stem either from difficulties in relationship with others or with self and from some of the "givens" in life, including: death, isolation, lack of meaning, freedom, and responsibility. Those who seek counseling services want to feel happy, live more in line with how they view their world, and/or get along better in their significant relationships.

As a therapist as well as a business consultant and coach, I work with individuals, couples, families and organizations. I work from a systemic orientation, which means that problems are embedded in a complex relational system rather than isolated in an individual. Accepting New Clients! For years I wondered why I struggled with focusing, poor memory, high energy, listening, deadlines, or remembering to eat. It was only after I was diagnosed with ADHD before I realized "hey, I am not making this up," or "I am not dumb- I learn differently." Attempts to meet the expectations of a neurotypical society creates a harmful cycle where we feel it is relentless and never ending. Past life experiences can and still haunt us, as society continues to "inform" us of what "normal" looks like. Trying to mask who we are daily is exhausting and painful, and only breeds more pain and internal hurt.

Finding Hope was created to provide a safe and comfortable setting for people to explore their grief and loss. For those seeking a path through grief and wanting to explore life after a loss and what that means for them. I am a licensed clinical social worker and work with adults 18 and older. Over the last ten years I have had experience working with a broad variety of clients in the community mental health setting as well as hospice. My areas of focus include trauma, grief and loss, chronic illness and pain, and women’s health (peripartum, postpartum, infertility). I have a BS in Kinesiology from Washington State University and a Masters in Social Work from Walla Walla University. I consider therapy to be a highly collaborative process intended to provide clients with a safe comfortable space to better understand themselves and work towards goals

My background is in health psychology, neurocognitive issues, suicide prevention, OCD and similar other related disorders, as well as end of life. Though I also enjoy working with families, and any other mental health issues. PTSD related to abuse is not my specialty.
