I have been in private practice for over 35 years. I meet the client where they are at and more importantly assist them in where they want to be. I strive to help in the most professional and respectful way and value each and every opportunity to be in the lives of those who want to live the life they want. I believe there is nothing wrong with the individual but they are often striving for balance and harmony in their lives. All my clients want the same thing-Love and acceptance.

Society Today is faced with multiple Life stressors ranging from Financial, Marital, Relational, issues with employment and or Life In General. Through Therapy, an Individualized Improvement Plan can be devised and implemented to assist individuals with coping and possibly overcoming the issues they are facing. Adolescents and Teens are complicated, and I am eager to assist. Teen groups are available as well as individualized treatment. Two people working together are always better than one. As a therapist I have learned the more input a client contributes to their therapeutic goals the better the outcomes and success possibility.

During the human experience, we will have struggles along the way. There are times we don't understand our own actions. We decide to take one approach to solve our problems and find ourselves doing something opposite of what we intended on doing. It is in those moments that we ask ourselves "How did I get here?" As a counselor for over 16 years, I partner with people to find their answers and to unlock their solutions. I have a solution-focused approach that assists clients in reestablishing balance, developing coping skills, and educating them on techniques and strategies to improve their capabilities.

Samantha Graham-Douglas, LPC and Life Restoration Center have been a part of the community since 2011. We have a mission of providing comfort, safety, and respect to those coming from hopeless situations - including trauma, sexual abuse, substance abuse, sexual addictions, criminal activity, delinquency, behavioral issues, parenting issues, and marital problems. Samantha and other team members have been trained in several trauma theories such as TF-CBT and EMDR and have experience working with substance abuse, addictions, mental health, family systems and focus on the whole family- children, adolescents, adults and families.

My therapy practice focuses on helping clients cope with and overcome challenges through providing the guidance and tools to move forward in life. My goal is for clients to feel that they have improved self-esteem, improved mood, motivation to work and participate in daily responsibilities, achieve their goals, form and strengthen their relationships, and integrate the past into the present. I have experience with children and adolescents, families in need of a change or a new set of skills, chronic mental illness inclusive of mood disorders, persistent anxiety and depression, and substance abuse disorders.

A basic theme in behavior can be viewed as a directional thought process. If we think it, believe it, we can become it. This thought process can apply to how one handles a problem. There are times that problems interfere with daily life in such a way that it grows into an overwhelming place of emotional discord in our personal and/or professional lives.
