I have found that no single therapy works for everyone during my 20 years of treating trauma, depression, anxiety, phobias as well as doing marital therapy. While trained in traditional therapy, I have integrated mind-body therapies where appropriate since research indicates symptoms are stored in the body as well as in the mind. EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Tappas Accupressure Technique, Advanced Integrative Therapy, Thought Field Therapy, the Emotional Freedom Technique, and Healing from the Body Level Up are a few modalities I use along with cognitive restructuring and psycho-education. I work with each client to determine goals and treatment plans.

Many people feel overwhelmed at times by feelings of depression, anxiety, compulsive and self-destructive behavior and addictions. Sometimes relationships are stressful and challenging rather than being sources of enjoyment, support and meaning. My goal is to create a safe place in which to begin the healing process. I provide a structure where clients can process and integrate difficult issues, change self-destructive thoughts and behaviors and improve their relationships with others.

Cynthia Hiles, LCSW received her master's degree in Social Work from University of Southern California three decades ago. She has been a practicing Clinical Social Worker in private practice and in a neonatal intensive care unit in a medical setting. Working with individuals or families coping with a medical crisis or facing a life challenge is her primary focus. Utilizing various treatment modalities, she is able to tailor a tool kit to maximize the therapeutic process in a respectful and compassionate setting.
