I provide individual therapy for adults on issues of anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts and/or feelings, self-criticism, grief, and relationship dissatisfaction. Our time together will be engaging, thought provoking, and supportive. I also understand counseling can be painful at times. I am committed to being present alongside you during these moments and to honor your exploration into where you have been, where you are, and where you would like to go. I can assist you in growing self-compassion, unhooking from painful thoughts and feelings, developing healthy coping skills, and supporting your pursuits of a meaningful life.

Accepting difficult situations in life and moving towards change is a journey you don't have to face alone. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate new challenges, past traumas, major life changes, and day-to-day struggles. I am a mental health therapist who specializes in trauma and addiction issues. I also often work from a family systems theory basis. I have combined experience as a counselor, educator and social worker for over 22 years. My therapeutic philosophy and approach is to offer empathy and compassion working to understand the whole person perspective and I am a strong advocate to help my clients empower themselves. I offer energy healing work and other alternative therapies as part of my practice such as Hypnosis to include traditional methods of therapeutic intervention.

CONDUCTING SESSION THRU VIDEO/PHONE. I am a WPATH Member and offer Behavioral Health Assessments and letter writing for the purpose of Gender Affirming treatment and surgeries. I offer sessions on WEEKENDS at no extra charge. I also offer a group for NB/Transgender Adults and LGBTQ+ teens (12-17). I follow a holistic approach to therapy. In other words, exploring various aspects that may impact an individual’s emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

In a time where we are more aware of burnout than ever, it is necessary to find space for authenticity, play, and rest. My values as a therapist are based in the need to collaborate together for collective healing from the demands of our fast-paced world that prioritizes productivity over connection. Our goal together is to explore the interiors of the mind and body in order to shine a light on the ways we close off from ourselves and others, opening the path to live a more free and expansive life. In addition to talk therapy, I work with somatic practices, including Somatic Experiencing and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy.

I primarily work with young adults on an individual basis and have experience with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, severe and persistent mental illness, self-esteem, interpersonal issues, trauma, identity issues, spiritual and existential concerns, life transition, and other emotional wellness concerns. I am currently only providing services via telehealth / secure online video chat. For Oregon clients, at this time I am only accepting Moda insurance or private pay.

Sometimes it is very difficult to explain in words or express the feelings or emotions that we have inside. Art expressions such as painting, drawing, sculpture, dance and music creation can relief the anxiety that talk therapy may cause no matter what age you or your loved ones are. It may be easier to communicate using art for young individuals and for any individual that may experience verbal difficulties. An art therapist like myself can help you find the best creative modality to feel comfortable in self expression and find coping skills to help you through difficulties.

Over the past 32 years, I have had the amazing opportunity to collaboratively work with clients, being supportive and providing gentle guidance as they learned to identify, clarify, and develop effective coping skills to manage and resolve the stress in their lives. Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, trying to cope with parenting concerns, Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, marital stress/conflict, self-esteem challenges, or a variety of life struggles; I believe that my client-centered therapeutic approach will assist you in gaining greater self-awareness and emotional growth.

Making the decision to begin counseling can be difficult, and even feel a bit scary at first. I have a friendly, relaxed, and intuitive approach that I bring into our space that we will create together through telehealth. Relationship is important in the therapeutic process and I put great care into establishing a safe and secure foundation for us to work from. My counseling approach is based on the belief that everyone can create meaningful change within themselves. Evergreen Behavioral Health is a growing group practice of trauma trained clinicians located in Salem, OR. Evergreen provides counseling services that specialize not only in standard trauma treatment, but in providing therapeutic services focused on attachment trauma and breaking up the cycle of intergenerational trauma. Evergreen provides services to children, adolescents, adults and families experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. Here at Evergreen we value the experience and healing that face-to-face, in-person sessions provide. While we offer telehealth as a backup option, we encourage clients to attend in person.

I find that people reach out to treatment when excessive worry, low motivation, and negative thinking can lead to feeling less confident in their work, behind on tasks at home, and impacting their relationships. I don't treat ADHD and I don't prescribe controlled substances, such as Xanax for anxiety.
