Her approach is inclusive, synergetic, and trauma-informed. She strives to create a safe, warm, and non-judgmental environment where everyone is treated with respect, uniqueness, egalitarianism, and anti-racism. She aims to help clients promote personal growth, overcome challenges, transitions, and difficulties in life, and facilitate the emotional and healing process.

I value your right to self-determination and will work closely with you to identify and clarify your goals. I will begin therapy where you are and move at a pace that you are comfortable with. This is not to say that there won't be times when I will challenge your thinking, offer new perspective and push for change, but I will always attempt to do so in a constructive, thoughtful and supportive manner.

My intent within my practice is create a safe space for all of your experiences. I have been dedicated to providing community mental health interventions for the past 10 years. I have extensive training and experience in cognitive-behavioral therapy, stage-based trauma therapy, LGBTQIA-affirmative therapy, and couples and family therapy. Pursuit of Happiness provides counseling for pregnant women, children, and families with Traditional Medicaid Insurance. We offer in-home and telehealth counseling throughout Texas. All of our counselors practice trauma-informed counseling and have training in play and trauma techniques to help children and families heal and grow in a safe therapeutic space. Our counselors will come directly to you and meet with the you or your children in the home, school, or daycare depending on your schedule needs. Virtual counseling is also available.

I am a bilingual Hispanic professional that has over 20 years of experience in social work, working with children in various settings primarily in school systems and in the juvenile justice system. I am currently embarking into a new journey of private practice.
