I am a Licensed Social Worker with a passion for decreasing the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting the health and well being of my clients. For my undergraduate degree, I moved from Central Jersey (Yes! It exists!) to South Jersey to attend Stockton University. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work with a Minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from Stockton, and then moved on to attend graduate school in Philadelphia. I received my Master of Social Work Degree with a clinical concentration from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice in May of 2020.

I encourage you to have a voice, to speak up if an area of your treatment is not working for you, and to ask questions. I am candid in that if there is an answer to a question I do not know, I will research and consult with my supervisor to get you the best answer possible.

My specialty lies in working with those who have experienced traumas, both large and small. Many times people see trauma as large life changing events and put aside the smaller things that can leave a mark. I try and explore both of these experiences with my clients, along with their relationships with others and themselves. This can cover a range of topics including, but not limited to, self-esteem, anxiety, boundaries, and self care. My goal is to create a space where clients can explore their emotions on their own timeline not mine or anyone else's.

I have over 14 years of experience working in the human services fields. I am Certified in Sexual Abuse Trauma by the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. I am EMDR trained and provide intensive EMDR sessions. I combine my knowledge of trauma and EMDR.

Amée entered the field of psychology after raising her own four children. She brings her life experience, a strong background in developmental issues, as well as her specializations in trauma informed care to individual treatment. She focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship in order to create a safe place for client's to heal their emotional wounds, and improve the quality of their life!

I understand therapy as a journey of self and I feel privileged to be part of the process. I specialize in trauma and intimate partner violence; I have extensive experience working with both survivors and partners who have acted harmfully. I also acknowledge how our cultural backgrounds can complicate our understanding of ourselves and our relationships. I work with clients with multicultural identities who struggle with intergenerational conflict, guilt, loneliness, among other difficulties.
