Many people come to therapy to free themselves from self-defeating patterns, maladaptive behaviors and the legacy of past traumas, so they can be more truly themselves in relation to others and live with greater satisfaction and meaning.

Difficult parent-child relationships, single motherhood, impact of divorced parents, apathy in relationships, career transitions, immigrant issues, grief and loss and abandonment are my areas of specialty. We'll determine how to manage the impact of your experiences and symptoms, thoughts, behaviors, mood and relationship. I administer assessments, diagnose and work with clients to identify ways to manage or eliminate anxiety, depression, pregnancy and childbirth, mood disorders and more. My goal as a therapist is to provide high quality therapeutic services that are accessible to everyone. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Howard University in Washington, DC and my Master of Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work in Baltimore, MD.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I strive to use a positive psychology to bring insights and empowerment to my clients. Over the past 20 years, I have used Cognitive Behavioral techniques, a Person Centered approach and a warm style of coaching, to support individuals who struggle with mental and emotional difficulties. As a seasoned therapist and trained in EMDR for Trauma, I work with those who have Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Stress & Anger Management issues and a host of other life struggles. The focus in therapy is to move towards a more stable, healthy and progressive way of living.
