Welcome! My name is Jennifer Wilson and I am a licensed clinical social worker providing quality supportive services. I am motivated to provide quality care to children, adolescents, and adults. I continue to work tirelessly to stay abreast of current trends as an out-patient therapist. I earned my Master's in Social Work at Fayetteville State University with a concentration in mental health and substance abuse. I have experience with working with a variety of addictions including but not limited to: sex, gambling, workaholics, substance abuse, and love/relationship.

Change can be intimidating however, by starting this process you have already taken a big step. Therapy is a collaboration opportunity to navigate the challenges occuring in your life. The approach that I use is one to help ensure that you learn practical tools that you can apply outside the office to assist you on your growth journey. I believe that every person has within them everything they need to grow and learn in life. Through discovering what works best for you, therapy can move you to approach self-healing and move in a positive direction.

Stress, anxiety and other difficult emotions may be a normal part of life, but they don't have to be in the driver's seat on life's journey. Through my 25+ years of experience as a counselor and my personal experience of having to reclaim the driver's seat from debilitating anxiety/depression, I have learned the truth behind Marcel Proust's claim that "The voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes". It is my goal to help people gain new "eyes" through which to view current or past experiences.

During these times, we could all use a bit of help, sometimes even professional help. That's where I come in. I have the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families from the tween years through late adulthood— during times of transition, sadness, strife and downright crisis.

As a parent or guardian, your desire is for your child to flourish, be successful, and to find happiness, especially when faced with challenging emotions, major life transitions, or school strugges. If you've observed heightened emotional distress, disruptive behaviors, school challenges, social challenges, or your child feeling isolated, you don't have to face these issues by yourself. I can help you and your child. Children (6 to 10), preteen, and teens are facing so many difficult stressful situations and sometimes feel they don't feel they have a trustworthy place to turn.

Additionally, I am deeply committed to assisting individuals who have navigated trauma or are dealing with complex PTSD. My practice spans across preteens, teens, and adults, as I believe in the power of tailored assistance at every stage of life.
