Melissa Isaacks is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has over 3 years of experience treating a wide range of mental illnesses, including ADHD, generalized anxiety disorder, depression, grief, loss, anger management, transitional disorder, bipolar disorder, and schizoaffective disorder. She takes great care to treat children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients with a warm and caring attitude. Melissa graduated from Texas Tech University with her Bachelor's degree in psychology and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and currently pursuing a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health with a specialization in Play Therapy from Sam Houston State University. I specialize in trauma treatment with children, adolescents, and adults, utilizing a variety of techniques and theoretical orientations, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), child centered play therapy (CCPT), sand tray therapy, and a variety of evidenced based approaches.

Some individuals are unaware of limiting thoughts, beliefs & memories and stay stuck. Trapped trauma and unconscious programming plays a major role in mental & physical health problems as well as interpersonal relationships. In addition to psychotherapy we offer a unique & transformational experience called Zerobody Dry Flotation to aid and accelerate the healing process and to re program unconscious programming (one's blueprint of self and life).

I have worked with adults, children, teens, and families for over 20 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I was originally licensed in Oklahoma in 2004 and became licensed in Texas when I moved here in 2013. At that time, I started my private practice. I see clients of all ages for individual and family counseling at the Grant Rd. location. I am only accepting adolescent clients (ages 12 and older) and adults at this time in the Woodlands location. I provide both mental health and substance use counseling (as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor).
