I provide online, telehealth counseling for individuals in Virginia. I work with individuals, families, groups, and couples’ of all ages. I work with clients with a wide range of issues, including (but not limited to): Depression, Anxiety, Gender Dysphoria, Racial Identity, Transgender (any age), Self-Esteem, PTSD, and other mental health concerns. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Motivational Interviewing.

Currently, I work at two online locations Supporting the Journey Counseling and Haymarket Counseling. I have worked in a non-profit, private practice, hospital, and with the juvenile correction system.  I have experience in providing therapy to adolescents, individuals, couples, families, mental health and substance abuse groups. I have been working with adolescents since 2002; dealing with depression, anger, self-esteem, personal/social issues, conflict management, and risky behaviors. I specialize in working with couple conflicts and adults with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, PTSD, and relationship issues.

Our experienced providers have a variety of specialties and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as other treatment approaches. We are pleased to offer Individual, Marriage and Family Counseling as well as Medication Management.

I tailor my services to each client and their unique needs, always from the humanistic approach. That means that I see my clients first and foremost as human beings, having what we would consider a human experience. Clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, job issues, or really any other type of discomfort will benefit from my integration of mindfulness and meditative practices into their treatment, alongside the use of building the psychological tools that empower them to create measurable changes to their circumstances.

I have extensive experience in addiction counseling/co-occurring disorders. I believe in the disease model of addiction and the family model, and recognize that by strengthening the family structure, families live healthier lives. I also recognize that addictions can be a learned behavior which can be controlled. For that, I view the 12 step model as support for treatment.

Established over 10 years ago, we originally opened as Prince William Family Counseling and provided the community with trustworthy therapy services in a safe, welcoming environment. In 2015 the agency was purchased and took on new ownership and we became Woodbridge Therapy Group. With the recent change in ownership, we have expanded our number of providers, added more services, and renewed our investment in the community.

Everyone experiences loss. Seldom do we allow ourselves to fully experience loss or it's impact. When someone dies, we change jobs, or even have a child, there is loss. When we choose to address these losses, past or present, we can begin to heal, and with healing comes unlimited possibility. I work with families/individuals/children and the impact family dynamics have on their lives; adoptees and their families as they deal their losses; bereaved individuals and groups after the death of a loved one; transitional loss and role adjustment included "empty nest"; corporate downsizing; career counseling; and relationship issues.

As an experienced dental health care provider, my main goal has always been to take care of the person in front of me with utmost respect, empathy, and compassion. As an intern counselor, I would like to apply my knowledge and experiences in this field to help others explore their best potential and reach their own goals.
