My name is Jennifer Clark. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Owner of Inner Peace CT Wellness Center. We currently have 15 talented and caring Licensed Counselors. Working on the shoreline for more than 30 years; I have been passionately dedicated to helping individuals in all stages of life who are motivated toward personal growth and seeking to find relief from emotional pain/stress, anxiety, and depression; and who are struggling with relationship(s). My ideal client is someone who is currently lost or overwhelmed and wanting to come alive again after a major loss or transition. Or has been dealing with a physical illness, and now wants support in coming back into life in a new way. It can be easy to forget that we are not the lives we have created, we are so much more. Having help recognizing where you are going and why, and dealing with the problems that show up along the way can be necessary in looking at exactly what is happening, why they are happening, and what you want/need to change to make things so much easier to handle so you can bring in joy, peace, and your dreams.

Accepting New Clients+ The "game-changers" for my clients are the "AHA" moments; the moments they find themselves thinking about something differently than before. That moment can change a person, and it can change their destiny. The majority of my clients are young adult females looking to understand what’s wrong with them… dating life, home life, work life… it all seems too overwhelming and there are more questions than answers. The aha moments come when we connect the dots between childhood experiences and current mind-set. There is nothing wrong with you; and what happened is not your fault.

I am a licensed PhD psychologist with over 30 years experience. I currently mainly specialize with military members and their families (active duty, spouses, children) dealing with deployment issues, anxiety, depression, PTSD. I have many years of experience working with Coast Guard cadets, officers, enlisted and the Coast Guard Clinic’s specialists. I also have vast experience with Navy active duty members, spouses, children. I have solid relationships with the behavior health clinicians at the Groton naval base, as well as the primary care providers at the Naval Clinic. My current passion is working with military families.

This year has changed our lives forever. While still providing traditional coaching and therapy, I am now implementing a new approach. I am excited to share this new approach with clients. This new approach has clearly made a difference for myself and others.
