MY PRIVATE PRACTICE IS CURRENTLY FULL. My specialty is coming alongside clients who experience overwhelming anxiety in everyday life situations and helping them learn new ways to approach and defuse the anxiety they experience. I also work with clients with OCD, PTSD, fear of flying, and other life challenges. I see adults and children (11 years and older preferred). When working with children and young adults, I generally use a systems-oriented approach, as I believe you cannot separate a child from the family and environment in which they function. Clients of all gender/ sexual orientation are welcome.

Before opening my own practice, I worked at the Villa Maria Continuum in Westminster. I then accepted a commission in the military where I helped people in some of the most hostile environments.

I have worked with many clients who have experienced trauma as children, & teens and this emotional pain haunts them for years. Sometimes they know the reason for the emotional pain but often the reason is buried and all they have are the overwhelming feelings of depression, anxiety, panic attacks, fear, worthlessness, shame, and more. These feelings have them paralyzed, often unable to hold down a job or be in a relationship. I've worked with many of these clients to help them discover the cause of these feelings, to talk about the emotional pain, to help them heal. I offer Christian Counseling to those who are interested.

When you enter through the journey of motherhood, there are often feelings of uncertainty, guilt, frustration, confusion, anxiety, and sadness. This rollercoaster of emotions is common, but does not have to be your long term experience of motherhood. Many of the moms I meet with are searching for a place where they can feel validated, but also want actionable steps they can use to improve their thinking patterns (negative self talk, self doubt, inner critic, intrusive thoughts), and their also manage their feelings about becoming a mom. I am a licensed counselor in Maryland and Pennsylvania with over 10 years of experience working in outpatient mental health clinics. I am also a board-approved clinical supervisor in Maryland. My experience has allowed me to work with clients of all ages, but I specialize in working with older adolescent and adult clients.

Accepting NEW Clients! I have been a social worker for more than 30 years. I feel honored to do this work. It has been my experience that everyone wants and needs to feel loved. We want love from our parents, love from our partners and love from our friends. When we believe that we don't have love we look to find substitutes.(ie. money, substances, food, material things) Nothing we try to "do" makes us feel fulfilled. They last for a short time and then the feeling of unrest comes again. It is an endless cycle of looking and not finding the love we desire. You have always been loved and worthy.
