I have been working with adults, adolescents, couples and family's for over 25 years. My goal is to help individuals function at their full social, intellectual and emotional levels. I help couples communicate and function to the best of their capabilities. I work with individual clients and support them work through their depression and anxieties. Creating a supportive and warm environment is always my focus.

As a Mental Health Counselor, I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment for my clients to explore their life challenges. I use an integrative approach primarily rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and solutions-focused techniques.

Dr. Weaver is a native of Pennsylvania and completed his Bachelor of Arts at Temple University in 1993. He was accepted into the Psychology Honors Program there and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He was ranked 18 out of a graduating class of over 2000 students. He was awarded his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Derner Institute for Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University, Garden City, NY in 1999. Dr. Weaver's clinical and research interests center around Margaret Mahler's Separation-Individuation Theory.

I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults for the past 20 years utilizing evidence based practices. I specialize in counseling victims of domestic violence and persons with co-occurring disorders. I believe in a person centered integrative approach to counseling and am experienced with utilizing community resources to maximize therapeutic benefit. In our sessions we will work together to explore and identify issues to be addressed as we build a relationship of trust.

We are a practice of licensed social workers & a psychiatric nurse practitioner founded in 1996. We assign clients to one of our psychotherapists based on individual staff expertise. We provide individual, couples and family therapy and provide services addressing anxiety, trauma, depression, post-partum depression, grief, ADHD, autism, other child & adolescent problems, academic under-performance, self-harm behaviors, social skills, addictions, eating disorders, relationship issues, divorce, parenting concerns, gender identity, chronic pain & illness. Nancy Amer-Lake is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in the mental health and geriatric fields of practice. She has worked as a clinician and in supervisory roles in both mental health and medical model home care settings for over 30 years.
