My practice philosophy is to understand my patient's situation and then to use many models of possible treatment either alone or together. Relationships can be difficult, life holds its challenges. I am trained in Behavioral Psychology but use it primarily as a tool to manage anxiety and depression. My overall practice is analytic and psychodynamic in nature. I am trained in hypnotherapy and also offer therapy, using a 12 session program, designed to help people with shyness. Another workshop type set of sessions is offered for an assessment of and treatment for, difficulties with motivation in college.

Victory Bay offers a variety of client-centered programs treating Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health. We help our clients successfully detox from drugs and alcohol in a comfortable inpatient or outpatient setting. Accommodations will be made for 24 hour staffing and clients will be cared for by licensed staff including Psychiatrists, APN, RN, etc. Detox is an individualized process, and we have found that a holistic approach is ideal when trying to successfully treat substance use disorder.

I utilize an integrative clinical approach to counseling and employ various therapeutic methods which I have been trained on. Depending upon what will be most helpful for you on a individual basis, my approach draws upon the principles of Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as several other therapeutic methods.

Over my 20+ years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse field, I've found it rewarding to help clients explore and implement evidence-based clinical interventions while offering support during their early recovery journey.

I am assisting couples (of any ethnic or racial background, gender identity, or sexual orientation) to preserve intimacy and satisfaction during a lifetime together, even after infidelity; I am assisting families to weather the storms of adolescence and to maintain familial closeness; I am accompanying people diagnosed with "mental illness" or addiction on their journey back to wholeness and well being.
