I work well with teen and adult clients who are trauma survivors and help individuals find voice to make meaning, particularly through the use of creativity. I work well with clients who are seeking help with mental health issues such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, identity issues and/or substance use. Many of my clients report they have found value in the therapeutic alliance we co-create, as I make establishing trust and safety a key value. I believe that individuals possess the innate potential to discover healing and define their own journey. I work with persons aged 13 and up.

I specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents, families, and adults. I have over 10 years of experience in behavioral health and addictions and have practiced in a variety of different settings--from outpatient therapy to residential treatment--each of which has contributed to my unique approach to therapy. Individual counseling provides an opportunity for you to talk openly about your thoughts and feelings in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I work with a variety of clients including children, adolescents, adults, and those within the LGBTQ community. With children and some adolescents, differing modalities of therapy, including art and music, provide an additional outlet for those who cannot always verbalize thoughts and feelings. I want to share a goal with my clients to create a partnership where clients feel empowered for growth, healing, and positive change. Although I have a traditional office setting offered year round, for those who are interested in a new approach to problem solving, I offer an alternative approach to traditional counseling by linking clients with horses during their sessions. Equine Assisted Counseling or equine assisted therapy, incorporates horses into families, and individual counseling sessions to facilitate emotional growth and learning.
