I am grateful for your consideration of my services. For 23 years I have been working with Adults, Adolescents and Couples. I provide Christian/Faith-Based Therapy when a client requests. Rapport is crucial to the therapy process. I strive to provide a welcoming, non-judgmental, and comfortable setting for each person I am fortunate to visit with. I am ever thankful for the remarkable, brave and determined individuals from whom I have learned so much. Walking difficult paths with others' is both an honor and deeply humbling.

I work with a broad range of individuals throughout the lifespan including children, adolescents, college students, and adults. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to address a wide range of issues in psychotherapy including: attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), behavior problems, social skills deficits, generalized anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, social anxiety, phobias, trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and general adjustment issues.

I crafted PEACE Center, LLC. to serve neurodivergent children and families in the Auburn community. I use a team approach to better provide tailored interventions and a higher level of care. Though I use play and am trained for trauma and anxiety, my expertise is with neurodivergent children, adolescents, and very new adults and their supports -- especially those with Tics, OCD, ADHD, and Autism. My goal is to come alongside through affirming, creating allies, advocates, community, and connection to resources through the use of a variety of therapeutic interventions, intentional partnerships, research and training, groups, and more.

My overarching goal as a therapist is to help those I work with find their "better." Working from a collaborative approach, I want to help you find new understanding as you continue to grow to be a better version of yourself than you were before. We will look deeper into each facet of your life to examine the roles you have taken on and how they affect you to the present day. I am a licensed professional supervising counselor with 31 years experience in the community mental health field. My speciality is working with individuals struggling with emotional regulation issues that are interfering with their professional and personal lives. Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy are my theoretical orientations. I am a certified DBT therapist. I am also a supervising counselor in Alabama and have extensive experience in providing supervision to individuals seeking state sanctioned licensure as a licensed professional counselor.

I provide counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. At your first appointment, we will begin working together to set goals and create a plan for therapy. Sessions will be based on your therapy goals and will involve learning and practicing new skills to manage problems and improve overall health and well being. I work with clients to improve their ability to manage stress, problem solve, cope with distress, and to create a life they enjoy living.

I am a Licensed Social Worker in Alabama with 24 years of experience providing mental health and behavioral counseling in various settings and various aspects of counseling. My client populations includes, but is not limited to working with adolescents, adults, geriatrics with a variety of mental health/behavioral presenting issues . As a skilled therapist and coach, my goal is to work with clients in providing strategies to overcome emotional, behavioral, and mental health barriers to well-being.
