Life can be challenging and difficult. I am deeply passionate about helping others through those challenges. I have many years of counseling experience and have worked with many demographics of people including: couples, singles, parents, children, and adolescents. I am intensely strength based and believe in identifying the strengths of individuals to help them find solutions to their problems.

Most clients come to me when life has hit them hard and they feel stuck. Something within them is screaming that they want more, but they don’t know how to get there and where to turn. To me therapy is a beautiful dance. One in which the client leads me to the inner-most crevices of their heart, and the light is suddenly turned on, bringing clarity, healing, and victory to the darkness. It is in this place that they are filled up to overflow, where they can thrive, love the life they are living, and pour into the lives around them.

Mental Health Therapy can enhance your ability to manage multiple stressors within individual and/or family emotions as well as with difficult relationships, communication, anxious thoughts, depressive thoughts and other stress like symptoms. I currently work with persons from 5-65 years old. Typical clients I see tend to struggle with relationships, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, and behavioral issues. I use Cognitive Behavioral Techniques, Gestalt Techniques and utilize mindfulness strategies. My goal is to utilize a therapy approach based on the client's needs/ goals to help ensure a positive therapeutic experience.

For years, Jeanie has worked for local hospitals as a medical social worker assisting elder adults and their families with difficult changes. This experience shapes her understanding of how hard transitions can be for families and for older adults. She also has vast experience with bereavement and grief support and is able to lend an empathetic ear for all who may be going through a difficult time. Jeanie is also a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist (CGCS).

Hi, I'm Erika Ashby! I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with experience providing individual, couple, & family therapy in English and Spanish. I also have training in Medical Family Therapy. I am a native of California and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in 2011 to attend graduate school at UNL. My husband and I have 4 children, and we have enjoyed raising our children in the Midwest! My approach to therapy incorporates not only the emotional and mental components of health traditionally focused on in therapy, but also the physical, social and spiritual components of our health and how they intersect and impact our overall wellbeing.

Ms. Vogel is a nationally certified/licensed counselor and a registered Art Therapist who has extensive experience working in the mental health field. Services include, but are not limited to, assessment, short-term and long-term therapy, EAP, CAP, and eclectic therapy as determined by each individual participating in their sessions. All age groups are accepted as well as individual, couple/marital and family therapy. In addition to the traditional “talk therapy” she has extensive knowledge and experience in various expressive therapies including, art therapy, play therapy, music therapy, bibliotherapy, journaling, etc. Ms. Vogel is fluent in sign language.
