Aloha, I'm Glen Carner, a family and addiction therapist with over 25 years of experience in providing therapeutic services to adults, teens, and family members from diverse cultures in Hawaii. As the owner and director Family & Addiction Counseling LLC, my passion lies in helping families overcome addictions, behavioral challenges, and other issues that affect their well-being. I specialize in implementing programs that have been scientifically demonstrated to improve my client's health in all areas of their lives. As a therapist, my ultimate goal is to help families build healthier relationships and achieve their full potential.

Grace's focus in treatment is to be client centered and to help support you in accomplishing your goals in therapy. Her goal is to create a safe environment for you to process past or current difficulties, stressors or traumas. Grace has a background working with clients who experience anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD, attachment disorders, personality disorders, and have experienced abuse or neglect.

Every individual in society is different so that per their perspectives, they formulate their opinion and a set of behavior. Under the theory of individual perception, the science which sounds theoretically proven and reasonable comes to play its role, resulting in various consequences. However, I believe that the perception created under the societal and scientific rules is not equivalent to neither the human mind nor the psychiatric world of the individual because human beings have unlimited imagination. I am looking for expanding the dimension of variables regarding the scientifically proven therapeutic methods

Adult and Child Psychological Services is a comprehensive center devoted to enhancing the health and well-being of adults, children, and families in the community who are living with emotional and physical health problems. Our philosophy is a belief in wellness through a collaborative effort. Using effective and proven therapies, the goal of our dedicated and expertly trained mental health professionals is to provide brief and practical help.

Individuals can lead a happier, more productive life when they are engaged in the therapy process. I specialize in assisting individuals who are experiencing life transitions including divorce, illness, bereavement, and change of careers. I also treat depression, anxiety, addictions (including substance abuse), trauma, and a variety of other psychological concerns. I routinely work with individuals' physicians and a variety of other practitioners to create a comprehensive treatment plan. I am an anger management specialist, certified by the National Association for Anger Management Specialists as well as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC). I am also a certified EMDR therapist.
