I can help you! I have approximately 35 years of experience. I give practical help in a safe and accepting environment. I have specialized in working with children and adolescents; sexual abuse issues, family and marriage issues. I am certified in EMDR. I have clinically supervised/trained graduated students and pre-licensed therapists for approximately 20 years. I work with most issues, including, but not limited to substance abuse, educational problems, depression, anxiety. I am a supportive and caring therapist who will assist you in becoming the person you were meant to be. Let's turn your struggles into strengths.

When I consider the relationship between a therapist and a client, I want to offer a supportive and nonjudgmental setting to allow a client to address their personal challenges by exploring their thoughts and emotions at their own pace. While gradually exploring additional layers of their concerns to allow them to find a path to a more authentic and satisfying life. I want to provide empathy for clients while empowering them in ways to grow and achieve their goals. I want those seeking comfort and support with their concerns, such as difficulties within their relationships, life stresses, past hurts, depression, anxiety & grief.

Life is much easier when we learn that we can improve or even control our reaction to most difficulties facing us. Learn to change "reaction" to "response," indicating a thoughtful, healthful method of reply. The ideal client will begin therapy with an open mind, a need for change, and a willingness to participate in his/her own growth process. Once you get curious about yourself, we can go places!

I am licensed in Arkansas LCSW 7331-C, Washington State LICSW-LW61228901, Georgia LCSW-CSW008640, Louisiana LCSW 17421. I require my clients to engage and follow DBT protocol. I have completed my Linehan DBT Certification. I love to treat individuals that want change and need support. If you are unsure you want DBT or you want to work hard to change your life, I am not the therapist for you. I take what I do very seriously and love it. I am currently undergoing certification for eating disorder specialist through IAEDP, ending Dec 2023.
